Anchorage Mayor Dan Sullivan has vetoed an anti-gay discrimination measure. Why? Gays aren’t discriminated against in Anchorage. Doesn’t happen. No “quantifiable evidence.” The swing vote who could override the veto says she’ll remain opposed because some ambiguous wording could mean—gasp!—unisex bathrooms in Anchorage. Far too high a price for human dignity.
