10-year-old Arkansan Will Phillips bases his refusal to stand for and say the Pledge of Allegiance on a literalist reading: that “for all” at the end, Phillips says, is unequivocal; if he were to stand for it while same-sex couples are denied the right to marry, he would be a hypocrite. Justice Scalia would be proud!
