Larry King’s Twitter Account

Despite his widely remarked-upon old age, Larry King spends a lot of time trying to engage with today’s popular culture. (See this picture for proof.) In keeping with this trend, King maintains a Twitter account that generally acts as a repository for random observations, updates on his show, and things that you would usually expect to hear from a crazy old man talking to birds in the park. Have you ever wanted to know Larry’s favorite kind of licorice, his opinion on why jockeys are the best athletes in all of sports, and his version of a zen koan? This is Celebrity Twitter at its best: a collection of insane musings that make us wonder why in the hell we find these people interesting in the first place, all filtered through the cultural reference points of a hip septuagenarian. King’s rantings may seem like ridiculous things for anyone to say, but they show that the famous are both somewhat like us and so different that they think people actually care to read their thoughts on licorice flavors. I happen to like red, Larry, but I would never think to tell anyone in a public forum. So why do I find your take so fascinating? – Eric Freeman
