NFL Red Zone

Despite its insane popularity, the NFL usually produces a boring product. Sure, everyone loves to see Chris Johnson juke three defenders on his way to a 50-yard touchdown run, but we’re too often forced to slog through a near-endless succession of incomplete passes, short runs, punts, and manly trucks for men advertisements featuring Howie Long to get there. Thankfully, the NFL Red Zone channel exists. Available from most cable providers, Red Zone shows only the most important plays from every game. If you play fantasy football, expect to see every touchdown, interception, fumble, and long play that affects your squad’s outcome. If you live outside of your favorite team’s market, you can watch all the big plays from their game in something approximating a live broadcast. If you’re tired of normal football and want something closer to the experience of a 56-49 shootout on Madden ‘95 for the Genesis, look no further. Don’t be a slave to the network broadcasts. Embrace your short attention span and watch your Sunday disappear. – Eric Freeman
